Do CPD courses provide hours or points as part of professional training requirements?

Participants who have taken part in a live online course from beginning to end will receive an automatic email confirmation from ION that they have participated in the whole course, which usually includes 5 hours of training.
ION is not able to confirm full attendance if the course has been viewed on-demand or where the online platform recognises that a participant has not been active for the full course duration.
Participants who have not managed to listen to the whole day live or who have listened on-demand may still log their CPD for the hours of training they have participated in, depending on their professional body's requirements. However, ION is not able to confirm that someone has participated in the full course. ION do not issue certificates for either live online or on demand courses.
If you are a nutritional therapist and registered with BANT, the current BANT guidelines are for a minimum of 30 hours CPD annually, of which a minimum of 8 of these hours must be active CPD.
Individual ION course programmes make it clear if they carry BANT recognition.
Courses that provide BANT CPD hours will appear on BANT's drop down menu of listed activities. If a live course or on-demand course does not have BANT recognition, you can still log it as 'Active' CPD on BANT's website based on the number of hours you have participated in. Use the 'Enter my own activity' and choose training/education.
It is the responsibility of the practitioner to be accurately record their viewing hours.
